DR KEN CHENG

Ken is the principal radiologist at Radiology Imaging Solutions, and also senior staff specialist at Monash Health and Monash Children’s Hospital. An experienced general radiologist, Ken has subspecialty expertise in cardiothoracic, neuroradiology and paediatric imaging.

After graduating from the University of Melbourne, he completed his radiology training and neuroradiology MRI fellowship at Monash Health, then a second fellowship in cardiac MRI at The Royal Brompton Hospital in London.

Ken has held the position of Head of Cardiac MRI at Monash Health since establishing the service in 2010, working in close collaboration with Monash Heart cardiologists, and he is also a member of the ANZ CMR working group.

DR BEN CHIANG

MBChB FRANZCR

 

Ben is a consultant radiologist with special interest in musculoskeletal, sports and trauma imaging.

He has considerable expertise in both diagnostic and interventional radiology, completing a subspeciality fellowship in advanced musculoskeletal imaging.

He undertook his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. Following his return, he completed both his hospital residency and radiology training at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.

Ben has worked in both regional and metropolitan settings, with consultant appointments including Western Health and Epworth Hospital.

DR JOHN BANH

BSc (Med) MBBS (Hons) FRANZCR

 

John is a consultant radiologist with expertise in the areas of musculoskeletal, breast and neuroradiology imaging.

He graduated from University of New South Wales in 2007. He trained in radiology at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and subsequently completed a breast imaging fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney. In 2015, he completed a year long MRI fellowship in Melbourne with Monash Health, Victoria’s largest public health network.

DR KEAT LOW

MBBS FRANZCR

 

Keat is a consultant radiologist with over 15 years of experience in radiology, and subspecialty expertise in hepatobiliary and neuroradiology imaging.

She has had advanced training in hepatopancreaticobiliary MR imaging at Royal Free Hospital in London, a world renowned centre for liver transplantation, and is currently the lead radiologist for the gastroenterology multidisciplinary team meeting at Monash Health.

A graduate of the University of Melbourne, Keat completed her general radiology training and MRI fellowship in neuroradiology and body imaging at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, with further training at the Royal Brompton Hospital London in the area of lung imaging.

She has held public appointments at Monash Health since 2010, and previously at St Vincent’s Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, during which she has been actively involved in the education and supervision of radiology trainees.

DR STEVEN ALATAKIS

MBBS FRANZCR

 

Steven is a general radiologist who subspecialises in neurological, trauma and oncological imaging. He graduated from the University of Melbourne and completed his radiology training at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. He then undertook radiology fellowships in oncology imaging at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and MR imaging at Monash Health, before becoming a consultant radiologist at Monash Health.

Steven is the Monash Imaging subspecialty head for Critical Care and Emergency Imaging. He has interests in trauma, neurology, abdominal, oncology and paediatric imaging.

Steven has held various roles with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists throughout most of his career as a radiologist, including part I and part II examiner, Victorian Branch Education Officer and Network Training Director.

DR NICHOLAS TROST

MBBS MPH FRANZCR FRCP (Edin)

 

Nicholas obtained his MBBS from the University of Melbourne and did his pre-fellowship radiology training with the Auckland DHB and the Alfred Hospital Melbourne. He undertook fellowships in MRI and neuroradiology at the Hammersmith Hospital and at St Mary’s Hospital in London. He obtained the European Certificate in Neuroradiology in 2005 and the International Diploma in Neurovascular Diseases (University of Paris XI) in 2006. Sabbaticals in 2006 and 2013 in Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and Thailand furthered his experience in advanced neuroimaging techniques.

Post fellowship, Nicholas held specialist appointments at the Hammersmith Hospital, Sydney Imaging Group and Hunter Valley Medical Imaging. He has held the position of consultant neuroradiologist since 1998 and as Director of MRI since 2006 at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He holds concurrent appointments with Radiology Imaging Solutions and I-TeleRAD.

Nicholas completed the Master of Public Health, specializing in Global Health, at the University of Melbourne in 2015. During this time, he held attachments with Save the Children in Myanmar and the WHO in Thailand.
